1 The use of paperboard

the book cover paperboard specially produced for hardcover books and picture books should be selected, and the storage time should be more than half a year. The shrinkage of this kind of paperboard is small, which can reduce the possibility of deformation when making the book cover. During the cutting of the paper cutter, 2mm allowance shall be added to each side of the finished product size first. After the rough sample is drawn, the cutting beveled edge shall be processed into a smooth edge, so as to eliminate the beveled edge caused by single knife cutting, and reduce blistering and edging skew after edging. The length of the paperboard is the length of the book block plus 6mm, and the width is the width of the book block minus 2mm

2. Medium diameter paper is generally 80 ~ 240g/m2 paper. If the paper is cut in the longitudinal direction and used as the length of the medium diameter paper, it can prevent the uneven back after shrinkage. The length of the medium diameter paper is the same as that of the book cover paper, and the width is the arc length of the back of the book after rounding and ridging (the square endorsement is the width of the back of the book plus 2 times the thickness of the cardboard)

3. Use of auxiliary materials

(1) the plug cloth shall be starched with starch first. When sticking the plug cloth, the position should be correct and not skewed; The edges and corners of the plug cloth should be exposed outside the incision at the upper and lower ends of the book block and parallel to the incision; After pasting, it should be straight and firmly bonded with the same margin on both sides. Its length is 1mm longer than the width of the back of the book

(2) select pulp gauze. Its length is 22 ~ 26mm shorter than the book block. The width is 40mm thicker than the book block

(3) generally, 100 ~ 120g/m2 offset paper is used for the back of the book, so that the longitudinal lines follow the top and bottom of the back of the book to facilitate segmentation

(4) the book block belt uses a 5 ~ 8mm wide silk ribbon, with the diagonal length of the book block as the length of the ribbon, which is generally pasted at 15mm on the back of the book

4. Use of sealing fabric

the size of the full fabric of lacquer paper required by the customer is: the length is the length of the cardboard plus 30mm, the width is twice the width of the cardboard plus the width of the medium diameter paper plus 44mm (the binding size is 15mm). After the material is prepared, the shell is made after hot printing, so as to prevent the uneven paperboard caused by glue brushing after the shell is made, resulting in insufficient hot marks, stencils, wild gold and brightness

the structures of various book blocks are different, and the modeling processing methods and steps are not exactly the same, but the basic processing such as book back brush glue, sticky gauze, sticky plug cloth, sticky book back paper, etc. are basically the same. 1. Flatten

because the book block compression can eliminate stress, close the needle, and make the back of the book flat and at right angles, compress the root of the book block and the broken edge of the book block of folding products, so as to prevent steps after the completion of the book. And at this time, each book is subject to general inspection, checking the number of Posts and the number of posts, and making inspection marks on the back of the book to ensure that there are no wrong posts in the book block. When flattening, the book block behind the lock line shall be bumped, leveled and placed correctly, and the pressure shall be appropriate to make the firmness of the book block consistent, that is, to ensure that the thickness of the back of the book is consistent, and to prevent shrinking, pressing and rolling

2. The first time to brush glue

after the book block is bundled with so much air permeability, it is painted on the back of the book with thin adhesive materials at intervals to form a layer of flexible film, so that the book block is basically shaped, so that mutual dislocation does not occur in the next process, and the first time to brush glue is completed
